I've been tutoring this kid in AP Computer Science who's ridiculously hopeless. The AP exam is now over and he doesn't know how to loop through an array using a for-loop. This is stuff from the first month of class...
Today he was reading a multiple-choice problem and asked me what the word "impediment" means (it's just English, not a technical term). I was so tempted to tell him that his brain is an impediment...

I should post some pictures from Science Bowl. Maybe I will do that next time. I thought it was funny how all the Secret Service people were following around Michelle Obama, telling me I can't point my camera at her face, etc but nobody cared about Steven Chu. Poor guy. He had to walk around by himself shaking all the terrorist nerds' hands.

I was taking Morgan for her evening walk today when I walked past a bus stop with a fat lady waiting there. I didn't see her at first since she was inside the bus stop shelter thingy so the wall hid her as I approached (or, to be honest, I was sneaking a glance at the not fat ladies next to her), so I guess the sight of Morgan surprised her or something. She shrieked a loud and hilarious "BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" and then told me to "CONTROL YOUR ANIMAL!!!! AND YOURSELF!" I was a bit startled so I jumped a bit, stopped walking, and turned to look at the source of the noise, and so did Morgan, with her tongue hanging halfway out of her mouth. I don't think Morgan even noticed the lady until she shrieked. Then we kept walking with people around us snickering at the crazy lady...
