I love how advertisements always come from servers that are just... advertisements. This makes
it so convenient to block them all. hahha I laugh at the funniness of how they set up these
things. Right click and push Save Target As... to get the
hosts file, and save it into the directory
\Windows\system32\drivers\etc (NT/2K/XP). There's already a hosts there,
and if you don't know what a hosts file is, you can safely overwrite the existing one. Then close
all your browser windows and start it back up. You'll notice a large reduction in number of dumb
advertisements. Instead of the ad, you'll usually get a broken image icon (
)
instead, which still takes up space. But hey, I like broken images better than ads. They don't flash
around and get in your face and act annoying.
Hmmmm, I'm still alive after frisbee! Even after a few kicks. It was fun, but man I need to go run more. I get tired too easily.
Ronjon's pretty good at ping pong. We just played some even though he said he didn't want to. His arms are too long, and he returns things that are not supposed to be returned, which is highly annoying. lol
i think number 4 and 13 are the best.
no, 4 is the best.
you gotta show tricia, lol.
-CiCi
I hadn't read #13 when I posted the link, but dang it's really funny. I showed Tricia, and she was like omg.. OMG!! haha
And uh, I don't think Eva cares enough to buy flowers for me. Hmm, maybe KT just has too much money ;-)
Jason's party is going to own.
6:27PM
Wow I am so dead. But I think I can last until New Year's so I can see 2004 before I die. Unless she pulverizes me during frisbee. haha
If you insist on putting flowers on my grave, please note that I would prefer the plastic variety. They do not smell funny, they do not rot and become nasty, and in general they do not have the same problems as real flowers. That was a euphemism for "they are non-biodegradable and will pollute the earth forever." And hey you cici clone, are you telling me that my grave isn't worth a few flowers? HUH!??! Yeah, eat it, whore.
Hmm.... check out #4: http://www.angelfire.com/emo/plaidschild/Mitch.html. Yeah, that's a random page off the web. MSN gave me that today when I was trying to find out if one of my pages was indexed yet. It wasn't but this page cracked me up. That guy is really like... uh... has nothing to do. Those poems are terrible (in more than one way) lol
Beta particle is lighter than gamma ray? There's been like 2 of these total crap questions per practice SAT II: Chemistry in this gay book. I am now placing a ban in this house on all Barron's science SAT books. I'm going to try one of their AP science books, and if that sucks too, then all of those are also going to be banned. So far after the first practice test, the Kaplan book seems much better. Their explanations are much better, too. I haven't read the actual content in Kaplan's yet though, but Barron's chapters were not very good. So just remember that when you're buying those books.
I did a little bit of editing on the comments page. As you know, I don't know anything about ASP, so I made a backup of course. It seems to work right now, but if you notice something screwing up, please tell me.

Yes, I just got up and ate.
There's this little girl and her brother over right now (they look like they're around 9 and 7). The little guy is brave enough to ask me six times why I got up so late. Man, when I was their age, I avoided teenagers as much as I could. I seem to not scare them though, which is good.

Awwwwwww, this can't be any good:
gUrLygUrLaThEaRt: g2g..shopping??? *shrug*
gUrLygUrLaThEaRt: oh yeah
gUrLygUrLaThEaRt: i will kill you
Well, it's been nice knowing all of you. I hope you will be like CiCi and will visit my grave often and put flowers on it. Well, the flowers don't matter. They're just going to sit there and rot and make my grave smell like a combination of flowers and fungi or other nasty stuff.
7:31PM
Haha I'm in a laughing mood right now, but surely even if I was sad/mad this (from chem SAT II
practice test) would get a small laugh out of me:

Uh, think it's "abbreviated" enough? I don't know if anyone else even thinks this is funny at all.
6:37PM
I breathe a sigh of relief as my executioner has not received the order to kill me yet. It seems that the crime has not been found out yet.
2:48PM
CiCi, you're too sad all the time. Listen to some Evanescence, it'll cheer you up. Especially
something like My Last Breath... I'm kidding... and if you don't know why I'm kidding, then you
suck because you don't listen to Evanescence. Just go download any song and then you will become
depressed within seconds. By the way, don't read me wrong, I totally do not think that girl is attractive.
I feel like a person standing at the gallows awaiting death. I don't like thinking the thought of
how dead I am and how certain my awful fate is. I wonder how much pain I can endure before I finally
die of something like this: *POW-BOOM-BAM* "Bitch!" *SLAP* *SMACK*
I'm tired of writing a gay paper about why I like Atlanta or why I want to leave. I have exactly
0 opinion on whether I should stay or leave. I don't care at all. This one is going to sound even
more fake than the BS in my last one.

I just got back from Maylene's house. We arrived 3 hours late, due to my mom's awesome remembering skills. Maylene got a lot prettier since I saw her last year. While that was going through my head on the way back, my dad was talking to my mom and apparently he agrees with me. He was like... 长得越来越漂亮了. I certainly hope his mind wasn't wandering in the same direction mine was. lol I didn't mean for that to sound as bad as it does. Then like a minute later, there was this building that we passed that was called (in the unmistakably ugly Comic Sans MS font) H A A N D I. It made me laugh inside for a little while. I can't even tell if this is a store, restaurant, porn shop, ... and also can't tell what dumb country these people come from.
As we came up to one intersection, I saw this car with this thing strapped to the top of it. It was around 10PM so I couldn't tell what it was. My first guess was a Christmas tree, but it didn't look anything like it. The only thing it looked like was a giant 8 foot dildo. This reminds me of our talk about BBCs after frisbee today. Which, by the way, was fun but very cold. I remember when we did something around this time last year. Everyone was too much of a wuss to stay out there =( Well, I do remember that Pat agreed with me that we should have kept playing.
Oranges are extremely good, especially if you shove them in your mouth and cram it so full that it only takes two bites. =O
11:21PM
Yes James (yesterday's comment), I know exactly what you're talking about. I use copy/paste to make the links, and I keep forgetting to increment the date counter. I've done this about 4 times already, but all except once (and also yesterday) I've caught myself in time to fix it.
hahah, CiCi will try to not laugh anymore. That's like saying that I'm going to stop eating rice. It's not happening. But don't worry, your laugh doesn't hurt my ears. I'm immune to that. Anyways, it's not annoying. Uh, I speak only for myself. lol but holy crap this little girl's (my sister's friend) laugh is a killer.
I downloaded some Evanescence songs which I didn't know existed. Hmm.. I know you guys all love Evanescence so much. Actually, ironically, Eva's the only one (other than me) I can think of who listens to them. Hopefully her friends who do not know who I am are too dumb to save copies of her Xanga noise. And certainly I hope you guys aren't going to give it to her, right? haha oh well, I'm going out now to buy face-reinforcement-equipment because I'm going to need them to avoid having my face reduced to a bloody pulp by her.
This dumb Come, Now Is the Time to Worship song is stuck in my head. It's highly annoying (it's powerful too, but that's besides the point lol). In fact, it's so annoying that I had to go download it a few days ago and play it repeatedly until it got boring enough to become un-stuck. Then today another TV commercial (my sister watches TV in here) for it came on and now it's stuck in my head again! Ahhhh!!

I'm trying to record Eva's Xanga Noise v2 (local copy here), but dangit, I keep cracking up before I can finish! That dumb voice is way too funny. It took me 4 tries. I really couldn't resist it. Come on, leave a link to an audio file for that long, and then go on a cruise, what did you think I was going to do with it? =P
11:42PM
Yessss the girls-who-agree-with-me-about-prom counter has increased to 2! lol and that comment was hilarious.
Today my mom demanded that I email her the address to my website. This leaves me with no choice but to create a bogus site that is very heavily censored. In order for my head to remain attached to the rest of my body, I beg you to go there, browse through it, and tell me if I forgot to edit/delete something. There can't be any hints or references to sex, drugs, breaking the law, or anything bad at all. The address is icydog.myip.org (I intentionally avoided d2g). This site should be pretty fast, as it's hosted by Bellsouth.
10:25PM
I'm glad at least one girl (KT) agrees with me about prom sucks. Everyone else seems irrationally overexcited about it, lol
Ok this is terrible. I'm listening to my sister talk to her friend:
My sister: "Britney Spears got arrested."
Dumb friend: "Why?"
My sister: "Because she went on the stage naked!"
I call her "dumb friend" because holy crap she is so annoying!! Her laugh is like one of those freaking dolls that u push and it makes a noise, except she's so freaking loud, high-pitched, and annoying that my head just wants to explode. AHhhhhhh!! Her conversations with my sister are pretty funny sometimes though.
I went parallel parking again... painted the sidewalk again... How am I ever going to pass?
Someone farted and it smells. It wasn't me.
I'm going to pound my grandpa and his (my) dumb computer now because it keeps making an obnoxious weird beeping sound (not the usual error DING!).

There have been 320 hits to Eva's Xanga noise. Boy is she going to be mad at me. hahahah
8:27PM
I fell asleep last night studying for the chemistry SAT II. I don't know how that happened. And somehow when I woke up, my head was on the wrong side of the bed. It was where my feet usually are. How strange. At least I fell asleep after I finished eating my oranges. It would have been really ugly if I fell asleep while eating oranges.
I hear that I'd have a prom date if I asked. However, even if this is true and not just a plot to get me to go to prom, the chances of me going are not increased. The chance of you seeing me at prom is approximately equal to that of me dying from being buried in a shower of Christmas-colored (bloody and leafy) bird crap after a bunch of birds are scared off from their Brazilian home in an inflatable mailbox because a large scarecrow is walking towards them at 1/3 the speed of light. Charles thinks that I'm going to be forced to go anyways, but we'll see about that. Maybe next year.
So far all the "reasons" for me to go to prom have been really bad. "We'll get to see you all dressed up!!" Well, I don't really want to go just so you can see me dressed up. Anyways, we all know I hate formal stuff, especially clothes. Or "well, you don't have to go with someone." This isn't really much of a reason for me to go. It's not like, hey, I don't have to go with someone, so I'm going to go because I don't have to go with someone.
Why does everyone's mom think that I do nothing all day but play computer games? Jenny's mom came over just now and as soon as she walked in she looks at me and asked me, what are you doing right now? And then she looks at my mom and she's like, he's definitely (肯定) playing computer games. It would be nice if I had any time at all to play any computer games. I've barely touched any since August. Let's see, Jin's mom, Chris's (the one that was over last night) mom, Charles's mom, ummm probably tons of others, they all think that. It's quite annoying. If I wanted to waste away, I wouldn't eat up every weekend with academic bowl or math competitions.
5:21PM
Marie gave this [link is now dead] to me (I think she stuck it on my door) after she got mad at me for being really mean to her a few (3?) years ago. At the time I think she was in 5th grade. I'll embarrass her (and me too, but that's ok) today by letting everyone see this hilarious note. Well, she still claims to have nothing to do with it. You'll get a kick out of it (Tarrant was one of the guys I hung out with a lot back then. He's a pothead now. But still cool). I hear that this whore named Rachel did most of it. I still remember the days when this whore was around. She was the biggest whore, even in 5th grade (I'm talking about Rachel, not Marie lol). I remember how Shabnam (Marie's neighbor, not sure if she still is) was like "David you should like Rachel, she's so cool and attractive" and I was like "and slut and should put a shirt on sometimes." Well, I didn't actually say that. But yeah, I wanted to. I think Gene knows what I'm talking about.
Ahhhh I give up on this stupid stat PCPOW problem. It looks SO easy, but then it confused me. Like, some little minor technicalities that kind of become not-so-minor after a while. Gay. Maybe it's just too late at night, I'm not sure.

You can suck it if you don't like my Christmas colors, especially if you're Indian, and even more if your name begins with a Ron and ends in a jon.
A lot of people were over today. We played lots and lots of ping pong and then a little bit of online Halo demo and UT demo. Ping pong is more fun, but my back is killing me today. I pulled too hard when we were trying to get Charles's flat tire off a few days ago.
My dad's back today. He didn't yell at me for stealing the speakers. He thought it was kind of amusing, actually, which was quite surprising.
I write too much in here every day. I wonder if anyone actually reads more than half of the stuff.
11:06PM
Merry Christmas!
Ah, ok. Thank you Tricia for educating me about lingerie (comment from yesterday). None of my spams make any sense. Especially the ones that tell me I need help getting my feces out my butt, I really don't think I have a problem with that.
The people coming over today are going to suck majorly, except for a few like Charles and maybe one or two others. Non-ownageness.

I don't understand this. I looked in my new spam folder and today I received: "Strapless nude bra makes a great gift." I don't understand what this "nude bra" is. It doesn't make any sense to me. Isn't "nude" characterized by the lack of clothing, and isn't a bra an item of clothing?
Jay said something useful today. "Have a merry corporate gift giving holiday eve with religious undertones!"

PiLlBuG 413: one time my dog had the cold
PiLlBuG 413: yeah good story, anyway
icydog1: that's the whole story?
PiLlBuG 413: yeah
My
sister just broke our American flag. She hates American too, I guess. Did I just say "too"? Oops.
I meant uh, ... never mind.
I have to clean my room =( My mom tried making me clean the trebuchet room too, but she took a look at it and changed her mind.
Tomorrow is going to suck. Way too many people are going to come here. It's going to be mass chaos and will majorly suck. I think I'm going to fix up my computer tonight so that when people try to use it tomorrow they will get errors like "Cannot access drive C: Access Denied."
Oh hey, Tricia just reminded me that I need to yell at Davita because they tied some of our shoes together when they were over here during the LAN party. I kept forgetting about it.
8:17PM
Yesterday's spam featured four (4) Paris Hilton video spams. hahaha they were all different, too!

I just read this article about how "master" and "slave" are "unacceptable and offensive" when used in the context of computer equipment. If you know anything about computer innards, you know that IDE hard drives have been labeled as master and slave for about 20 years now. I don't happen to find this label very offensive, anyways. And the master/slave designation doesn't really mean anything. The master drive does not "control" the slave one. The only important differences that come to my mind include the drive ID (like in BIOS setup) and the spin-up order (master spins up as soon as computer is powered on; slave waits a few seconds to reduce stress on the power supply). How unthinkable and offensive it is to have a "master" drive start spinning 5-15 seconds before the "slave" drive.

Today was writing class day. We went over the essays we wrote earlier. Charles wrote about learning to tie shoelaces. The teacher kept talking about one of his concluding sentences that began "The pros heavily outweigh the cons..." The teacher kept saying "the pros HEEAAVILLY outweigh the cons?" with his funny Chinese accent. He must have said it over twenty times. I mean, a lot of times. It was hilarious. Then we got to my essay and I stopped laughing.
I rode with Charles coming back from that guy's house. His tire happened to be flat. We took an hour or so to change his tire. The jack was supposed to go under the axle, of all places. The car started moving and almost fell off of the jack two or three times. We had to push it back in place. Charles told me to jack it off instead of jack it up... Ok and the dumb nuts were on so tightly. The dumb wrench was 10 inches long which is definitely not enough. We had to get a guy with a pipe 3-4 feet long to put over that dumb thing, and he had to put basically his entire body weight on the end of that to budge those nuts.
If Eva's awesome Xanga sound won't work for you, you can get it here (MP3, 116KB). For those of you who are like "why would you do such a thing?!?" well, she asked for it. She told me to download Come on Over for her, and I thought she just wanted me to download it so she could download it off of me so she didn't have to fool with Kazaa and half-done downloads because she has dialup. Wow that was a massive run-on. Well, then she told me she wanted the link to put in her Xanga, and I told her no, and she did it anyways. So then the next day I told her to get rid of the link (of course it was a dead link by then) and she said no again. So uh, why leave a dead link on her Xanga? I've gotta fill it up with something, right? haha Oh and I'd like to give credit to Charles for giving me some ideas of what to put in the sound =)

I just woke up. My head seemed to have been on top of my Chemistry SAT book. Uh, my drool went
through half the pages.
Today I played with
Eva's Xanga. Please go to it and listen if you have a chance. I hope she likes it when she gets
back from wherever she is =)
I'm going to bed early today.

Hmm what the heck. I just read a proof that said deobfuscating programs is NP-easy. I don't know what this means. Apparently this is less complex than NP-hard (no, I'm not kidding). NP stands for nondeterministic polynomial. Huh? Ummm..... yeah... why'd I read that? lol all I gathered from it was that obfuscating programs is impossible. I always thought that obfuscating programs (making it impossible to understand for a person, but still executable for a computer) was obviously impossible (because if you have full access to the computer and everything it does, and it is running the program, then can't you see exactly what the program is doing?), but I guess it's not so obvious if it required a proof by this guy. By the way, this proof is by Appel, who is one of the guys (along with Haken) that proved the four-color theorem in 1976, stating that a map can be colored with four colors (a much shorter proof now exists and is preferred over this one).
Home sweet home. That's the 正门 ("proper door"? lol I always use the other entrance though) to 武大 (Wuhan University). I couldn't find a picture of the building I lived in. It really doesn't look that nice, so I guess no one wanted to take a picture of it.

Charles just left. We just worked on the trebuchet for over 5 hours. It's working pretty well, except the range is quite a lot less than expected. It's pretty sturdy, so it shouldn't fall apart during the middle of a launch, but it doesn't really look as good as we had hoped =( Oh well, function over form.
We used a test counterweight of about 0.3 kg (10 oz) and shot a small nut of maybe 5 grams. It went 7 or 8 meters (~25 feet). Certainly less than the 20m we had hoped for, but it's really not that bad. The simulation says we should be getting 10.5 meters on a launch like this, but if the counterweight is increased to 2kg and the projectile to 0.05kg (50g), then the result is 20.8 meters. So I think we can expect to hit at least 15 meters. After range, accuracy is also a problem. It shoots 10 or 15 degrees off-center. It's going to be a challenge to hit a target...
Ed's Xanga is owning right now. The title is an image of him making fun of the obnoxiousness of Eva's Xanga.
I need some ramen.

Last night before I went to bed I looked at Eva's blood on my shoulder. It got past the first line of containment (my shirt). I don't know if any got on my skin. I think I'm going to go to the doctor today and get a checkup done to see if I'm contaminated. I don't know if I should though, because I might get quarantined... she's classified as a level 3 containment hazard.
5:08PM
Ms. Dutter said that my test average would also be my notebook grade, but she gave me a 0 anyways. Oh well. The notebook grade (0) was 1% of the total grade for a while, and now it's changed to 5%. That didn't have an impact on my grade, for some reason. It's really weird. And I did not get a 83 on that final!! It was so easy!
Anyone who claimed to be me on AIM was not me unless it was my sn.
I got back from Jess's thing a little while ago. I may have eaten too many Cokes, though. It's been too long since I've had any of those, so I just wanted to keep pouring them down my throat. It was fun. I wish I could have stayed over at someone's house, though.
Ping pong with crappy paddles does suck. But hey, ping pong is always better than no ping pong. The only exception to this rule is when ping pong is not actually ping pong and no ping pong is ping pong. Wait, huh?
Mary typed in some porn site (it was like ---avagina.com, I forgot the beginning) on Jess's computer and then she told CiCi to push enter and then she was like "CICI!! WHY DID YOU DO THAT!!? EWWWW!!" Then later, Eva kept punching me. She hit me so many times with such force that her hand started bleeding. She was hitting me on the shoulder - tells you how hard it must have been. Now I have blood on my sleeve. eww~! haha
Ronjon got me a Long Dong tshirt. haha it's awesome. People are going to love this.
Building this trebuchet is going to be fun. Actually, it's not. I could only find one working trebuchet calculator. It involves equations that take up 56KB of space when saved as text, and some of that is differential equations. This means that we (Charles & I) have no chance at doing the calculations and have no choice but to rely on this program. According to it, under some circumstances, if you do something like increase the length of the main swinging arm by 1 millimeter (in case you're wondering, the total arm length here is around 1.1 meters; 1 mm is a very small change), then the projectile flies like 8 meters farther (it's a change in range from like 16 to 24 meters). This kind of accuracy is the kind that we can't produce. How are we going to make the center of masses of the objects exactly x distance apart (accurate to the millimeter) if the objects, their masses, sizes, and shapes aren't given to us until tournament day? By the way, the sizes of the objects may range from very small to up to a 15 cm cube. Ummm... yeah... 1 mm precision? Not happening.
Charles said he'd think about building me a plexiglass case to produce Non Cardboard Box v2.1.
It would be cool, except that it would cost money. By money, I mean more than what I paid for the
cardboard box (it's how much I spend on anything, if possible - $0). He thought about putting in
a 12V, 300W neon lamp. Ok yeah... that isn't going to work with a 250W power supply that has to
power the computer. <STOP_READING> 25 amps inside there is not a good idea. Umm, that is a whole
lot of magnetic field. We all know how good that is for computers. Also the interference will cause
a lot of errors. Not to mention the heat generated by 25 amps. </STOP_READING> And please don't
tell me "David, your HTML didn't work. I see a <STOP_READING>
tag on your Un-Xanga."
What other boring stuff do I have that can be written here? Well umm, nothing. Except that hopefully I'll stop bumming rides off of people. I hate doing that.
I really don't think it's necessary to vote 16 times. If you gain joy from annoying people by putting in bogus votes, then you need some serious help. It's kind of pointless. "I'm so cool that I can push the vote button many times!! WOOHOO!!" Notice how everyone else who comes to this site also has the capability to vote multiple times, but they don't decide to be stupid and screw with the dumb vote button. 68.211.115.142? Yum =) Looks like target practice. I can't believe you actually took the time to disable cookies on IE6. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is James. Who else goes to Ronjon's Xanga more than once a day, goes to the Academic Bowl website more than once a day, and would do something like push vote a lot of times? Well, at least now I know that the vote button works.

Now probably half the teachers in the school have this site's address. Greeeaatt.... it looks like very soon I will be having "technical difficulties" and will have to move my site address. Now I have to go through all the old pages on this site and cross out everything I've said about teachers that are offensive. Miss Snoddy, if you're reading this, then please note that all instances of "DON'T LET UNIT SNODDY'S SOCIALIST PROPAGANDA FOOL YOU!" have been removed from this site.
ComputerGeeks has not even begun to ship me the "new" motherboard that they were promising. This is ridiculous. They said they were going to ship a return label and give a refund today, but this is probably not happening either. This is a total score of -60 for them: 10 for being inexpensive, -20 for trying to ship me old and incomplete crap, and -50 for lying about replacing it. There's about to be an additional -90 points for lying to me about the refund. I know they aren't going to actually give a refund.
AP Euro final = super easy. Emag = not as easy, even with 3 pages of formulas and constants and stuff. You know there's a problem when I think that a science test is harder than a history one.
My sister's watching Tom & Jerry here. I love that show. Although I've seen this one (they fight over a hammock) like four times, it's still funny.

By the way Dragos, sorry. I had to find some way to beat you in something. I couldn't just let Mary win the bet and then have to take her out to dinner, right? Paying for other people's food? That's unthinkable. Getting free food is more like it =)

Know what makes me mad? In the Corel WordPerfect Office 11 (2002) setup program, there's options for support for Sotho, Tswana, Xhosa, and Zulu, but there isn't Chinese (or J/K) on there anywhere. What the hell. CJK is like 80,000,000 times more people than all of those dumb languages added up.
8:48PM
I saw LotR3: Return of the Kings today. Here's some of my comments about it, after forgetting a few:
- Does a high-powered flashlight really have the power to ward off large monstrous birds?
- The Titanic scene. Remember when Frodo was hanging off the cliff in the volcano?
- Is there really a need to clap after some scenes? I mean, you clap after maybe a play or after someone scores in sports. But clapping after people walk off a ship or after Aragorn makes out with that girl at the end... isn't that kinda pointless?
- That short fat dwarf guy was hot. He should replace all instances of Legolas and Aragorn.
Davita came a little late and waited by the door of the theater. It was good that I was a pig and went to get refills on that popcorn (which was large, so we split it among everyone and got refills of course), otherwise she'd have been standing there watching the entire movie.
I'm afraid to find out what my person got me for Christmas. This can't be good.
I stole Christine's reindeer thingy today. Ms. Dutter thought it was so cute. By the way, I held it in my hand while I took all of my finals today. It helped me concentrate so much. (Not really. But if you were there, you'd get it lol)
My mom's making me study for retarded finals and then sleep. =(

You need to get a
on your final, where T = Target grade (89.5 or 0.895, either way is ok), C = Current grade, and
p is how much the final is worth as a decimal (15% = 0.15). Please don't give me any of these:
gUrLygUrLaThEaRt:
duznt work =/ You probably just toasted
something and need to check your work.
I'm feeling happy today. Maybe it's because I did well on the AP Language final, but I don't think so. Because the Devil's attitude to me more than made up for that. Maybe it was seeing Miss Snoddy laugh for 10 minutes straight. Or, maybe it's because I got a good amount of sleep last night (and still required me grandpa to yell at me for 10 minutes before I got up).
I have what appears to be a bee sting or ant bite near my ankle. How weird, considering I haven't been outside and I didn't notice it until long after it had appeared. Don't you usually feel pain when it happens? Maybe I was too angry with a certain Devil.
7:08PM
if(name == 'Snoddy')People decided to give her the address to my site today. Great idea. Now Unit Snoddy can
find out about me! This is not going to have a positive impact on my grade. She did get a good laugh
out of it today, though. It was an enjoyable last 10 minutes of class.

Remember the pass that I was talking about long, long ago, from Earth Science? Well, now that I have a scanner that has a working rate of >3.6%, I can show its funniness. Who doesn't know that my last name is spelled Nguyen? By the way, I have no idea how this happened.
Ms. Bryan totally rigged the test scores. I don't know how everyone passed. But somehow we did. Hey, I'm not complaining.

"东东以后会不会信教很难讲。" <-- My grandpa said this today. It's
the second time I've heard it from him, and both times my mom agreed... ludicrous.
(By Babel: "East east could later
be religious very difficultly to say," where "East east" = Dong Dong)

The chem test was so fun. Ms. Pepple seems to think that the 7th period class is consistently better than us. But they always get to stay 25 minutes after the bell. Today was even worse, with that fire drill.
Dingting, Anant, Yin, Charles Jiang, Laura Reisert, and Allister and probably some more came to visit. I heard Vinyard showed up on Friday.
CiCi and I pretended to be the lunch door nazi at the back entrance during the last 15 minutes of lunch. A teacher gave us a really funny look. And it was too bad CiCi had to be in the dumb bathroom when this freshman came by. Dang, he was the funniest little one ever. He came up to me with this incredibly hilarious look on his face and held up his agenda. He was so dumb he had it flipped to a page that was totally empty! But whatever, I was laughing too hard to say "Hey! What do you think you are doing? Where are you supposed to be? Hang on, let me get our my administrative referral slips for skipping..."

I want to make a comment on various Xanga color schemes. Links to these pages are on the
Links page.
| CiCi | Dragos | Mary | Eva |
| KT | Jennifer | Davita | Tricia |
| Tyson | Ed | Gene | Ronjon |
I read these every day, occasionally skipping a day to do mass chemistry homework. I have an anti-colors script that I have to frequently use, which doesn't make my tired hand happy. Of the dozen Xangas above, only half of them are readable enough for me to actually be able to read it without manually killing the colors. The most readable award has to go to Gene (2nd to last picture). It would be nice if everyone did like him and made a readable page. Please understand that readable = good, and that readability is probably more important than any cool background image you might have. Well, that's if you write in it for other people to read, anyways. If you just want people to look at the background then I guess it's ok.
I'm not sure how readable my own site is. I know I'd like for it to load faster, but there's not much that can be done about it...
9:33PM
Hahhahaha Dragos you made me laugh so much I feel the urge to comment on your comment ("bryan is mowing down grades, seems to be taking points from some people and giving them to others, after keeping some for herself").
Oops. I tried making my grandpa do some nuclear chemistry. This isn't working too well. Remember
that the first nukes were during his college years... lol and during Occupation the Japanese certainly
weren't motivated to teach Chinese people anything about nuclear anything. And he thought that a
proton's mass was negligible compared to the neutron's. Nuclear physics at that time was surely
not very advanced.
For anyone who's wondering, I don't use an automated system to write on this page. It's just me, FrontPage, and Notepad (well, I use a super notepad, but it's close enough).
Parts of my emag test are totally unreadable. Here's one such part. No, the horizontal lines aren't scanning errors, they are actually on my copy of the test. Do you see the question number? What about the question? And the answer choices? Well, in that scanned picture there's the question number, most of the question, and all of the answer choices A-E. Can you tell where the choices are? I wouldn't be able to either if there weren't a few questions before it that were printed clear enough to sorta read.

My 94 in Euro dropped to a 89. I now have 3 "12/10/03 Quiz added by Diagnostics" grades (each out of 100) entered as 42, 50, and 78. This stuff is 12% of my grade and it has popped out of nowhere!
On the other hand, Bryan has lost 1% of her Devilishness and gave me a 85 on my syntax essay. And CiCi just told me she got a 100. So I probably got a 85 because she gave everyone else an A. I retract my statement about her Devilishness.
3:57PM
Last night was refreshing to the extreme. I fell asleep at 8:30PM, had a short 1 minute pee break after which I immediately fell asleep (the only time there's been less delay between putting my head down and falling asleep was this one day in chemistry...), and woke up at 1:35PM. 17 hours =) That almost makes up for last Wednesday and Thursday...
My mom stole the digital camera off my desk.
Oh my, I just remembered this other not-so-great dream I had last night. It was so horrendous I guess it could be considered a nightmare.
The layout of Cardboard Box 2.0 has been made out and modifications to the box have been made... now just waiting for the board to come. The box had to be supplemented with an Algebra II workbook. Finally, I have found a use for that useless workbook. I might have to find something else though, because that book is more of a fire hazard than the box, which is already enough of a hazard.

This is highly lame. I had an 89 on my literary periods test, but now it has magically become an 82. I think the Devil decided that my average would be too close to an A if I got an 89, so she decided to change it to an 82. Also lame was the AP Euro test. Ms. Boyd said that the highest grade was a 74 and only 3 people passed.
Another take-home emag test? Has there been one we haven't collaborated on? (no) The final is going to be impossible, though.
I had the riggedest dream today during Euro. It was one of the few dreams I remember for more than 30 seconds after waking up, and it was probably because of how weird it was. My weird brain seems to have arbitrarily chosen a seemingly random girl to have a weird dream about, and then it caused weirdness by going on to have a weird dream.
I'm going to bed now. Hopefully I won't be up until 10 or 11 in the morning.

I failed in my attempt to get points for that. Oh well.
I just finished studying for AP Euro. Now I have to start studying for US. This is going to be a long night...
This weekend is going to be one of the most boringest weekends in my life. Study, study, study. The stupid lit periods test only forces me to have to study more to bring my average back up.
Here's
the picture of that Post-It from yesterday. I think it deserves to be framed
because it's so funny.
11:42PM
Awww this is lame. I won the PCPOW for stat which is completely useless, but didn't even come close to placing in the calculus one. Sucks. I'm going to beg her for points anyways.

FrontPage blows. Check out the "preview" of the page... it doesn't really reflect this page's contents very well, now does it? WYSIWYG my butt. The broken image thing is Paris.
I accidentally fell asleep for four hours. Now I have to stay up really late again... my emag test is tomorrow and I've done like 3 homework problems. Magnetism confuses me.
Just after I fell asleep, Morgan called. Well, people tend to call her Miss Morgan. My mom stuck a post-it on my monitor saying "Call Ms. Morgen." I thought that was so funny.

An unnamed Indian guy with spiky hair has clogged my toilet (well, there's no one else it could have been) and caused a disgusting overflow all over my floor. =( My grandpa said he'd clean it up tomorrow. It's going to be very fun for him... and it smells like poo here so I'm going to go upstairs now.
9:48PM
Here's the picture of Paris Hilton I said I'd scan. I got my new scanner to work. It sucks.
I'm going to do some of my lab and then sleep before 10 =)
8:06PM
So this morning I asked Ms. Bryan if I could go see her during WEB to see the Macbeth and syntax tests, and she said yes without much of a scowl (a first!). Right after school I went to her room and she was talking to this old lady. So I put down my stuff in a seat, and I was standing in her room looking at the stuff on the wall. I was making no noise whatsoever and I wasn't looking at her. Randomly out of nowhere, she goes, "David! Stop being so rude! Quit trying to interrupt. We're in the middle of a conversation! Don't you know that WEB doesn't start until 1:15? I have a club meeting until then!" I said "Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude..." and she goes "It doesn't matter if you meant to be rude or not." And then I was so mad I didn't hear whatever else she said.
That lady is going to piss me off one too many times and she's really going to regret it. One day her house may be missing a little bit of food and a few window panes.
Charles and Ronjon came over at like 1:30. Ping pong!

I'm going to sleep tonight.
10:32PM
It has been fun doing all my homework. My calculus project looks like crap. It is SO bad that it's not even funny. Once you open the cover, it only gets worse. There goes 20 points for the box. Then 20 more points because it's too hard. I didn't know we were doing these in class! Then 10 more points because I'll only half participate in the class activity. AHHHHHHHHHHH there goes my average. The chemistry took forever. I did half of it. I haven't even started reading for AP US yet. I'll do that tomorrow.
I'm gonna have a lot of fun getting up tomorrow... my grandpa will probably have to yell at me for 10 minutes and threaten to pour toilet water on me before I will get up.

Today (by that I specifically mean yesterday, but this statement applies to all days) I decided
was hungry so I got some food (if you're not getting this then go see Wednesday's
white box):
2 chicken thighs dripping with oil = 600 calories
giant chicken breast dripping with more oil = 700 calories
2 big chicken burgers (yes, I'm liking the chicken today) = 860
lots of soda = 500 calories
Some juice = 100 calories
Popcorn = 600 calories
Fries = 390 calories
Onion rings = 300 calories
Subtotal = 4050 (a lot more than 142)
workout = sleeping in the van, 6 hours. Burned about 400 calories, which is about 300 less than
if I had stayed awake.
Total = 3650 (a whole lot more than some negative number)
insert generic "OMG I WILL BE SO FAT" comment here
By the way, the 2 burgers and fries are the right number of calories (see, this tells you that I'm anorexic and count calories). I just kinda guessed the rest of them. Ok, I'll stop making fun of anorexic people now. But they really should start eating. Starve yourself and die and be skinny, or enjoy food and still be skinny? Hmmm...
I got back from Florida at around 12:30 midnight, 4 hours ago. It took me 2 or 3 hours at Florida + those last 4 hours to solve my dumb related rate shoebox problem. I actually worked hard during those 6 or so hours, unlike what I normally do. I managed not to do a single distracting thing while I was doing this math. I don't know why I decided to make it that hard, though. It involves a pair of spinning circles.
Here's one of the fun equations in my explanation (there's 12 or 15 more similar ones):

Fun, eh? Oh, and this equation I had already eliminated several variables. The first equation has
like 12 variables in it.
At Florida, we lost to a team who sucked. The winner of the tournament only beat our second team by 20 points. If we had the chance to play them, they would have been destroyed. We ended up third. Ms. Martin got extremely mad at me for sleeping so much. She said she won't take me to a tournament again if I don't get some sleep. She doesn't understand that if I didn't stay up Friday night to do physics, then I wouldn't be able to finish all my homework by Monday morning (yes, that includes all of Sunday night) and I'd have to skip a few periods on Monday. I'm probably going to have to do that, anyways.
I had to substitute with Fanoe. It sucked for both of us. That tournament was so not the kind I like (this means that there were 0 math and few science toss up) so I got like as many science as other stuff, which is an indicator of sadness.
In emag, Arthur always says capacitates as the verb form of capacitor (it's a part of an electric circuit), which seems wrong. The device is definitely not called capacitator, though. I buzzed in on a Leyden jar thing and I tried to say capacitor but our comes capacitator... oops... lol but the reader and other team was stupid enough to not know. Fanoe caught me, but he was sitting out at the time. I laughed the rest of the match because I kept thinking of Arthur.
Somehow I managed to fall asleep on Gene again (yes, after telling him I wouldn't do that again). I think what happened was I was really really sleepy (that means more than usual) because some noise woke me up during the ride back, and didn't really wake me up. Then I think I shifted around while semi-awake, and I think that's when I landed my head on Gene's side. His pillow was comfortable, though. The ride was not that bad, with 12 people in a 15 passenger van.
I tried getting my grandpa to do my chemistry homework. He did some, but he's basically giving up. He gets really bored when he does those because they're just so boring. Plug in this to this and get this and repeat it about 1029 times. He doesn't really remember stuff he learned back in the Shang dynasty, anyways. Actually, it's "only" been 60 years.
This is Davita being Drunk on Tricia's Xanga:

My computer doesn't have Chinese or random devices installed. So how did this happen in Device
Manager?

I think the first one is a monitor, but the second one is just weird.
I've been hearing good things about the chemistry homework. You know, the usual stuff. Like it only takes 63 hours, and that it's repeated boring work, etc.
10:45PM
Tonight will be a very fun night. I certainly will not get any sleep at all. I'll be up doing AP US, calculus, chemistry, and physics. I'm reserving the time between 5 and 6 to fool around and maybe shoot Gene in the face a few times, though.
I slept through all of chemistry today and when I woke up, I had this giant red mark down my face. It stood out like a dead horse in a pile of galvanometers. Then while I was asleep during US, people kept screwing with me. I'm not really sure what they did, but when I woke up at the end I had a teething bat and a piece of notebook paper on my back. Someone (I think it was Kristen) wrote something about I love Yuk on my sheet with "notes" too.
Tomorrow I will catch up on my sleep. The 20 hour drive will seem to be over in no time.

Check out this wonderful piece of Xanga. I'm being mean enough by making fun of her, so I think I'll let you search for it yourself. It's very unlikely that you guys know her, anyways (I don't).
lost a pound .. 116
--
today i decided i should get some protein
so i ate
1 serving of egg whites with 1 slice of fat free cheese=62 calories
1 slice of whole wheat bread =80 calories
total - 142~not too bad i guess
workout=polaties//40 minutes
This person has gotta be kidding. As I told CiCi earlier, the only time I've come close to eating 142 calories in any 24 hour span was when I slept through the entire day. Even then, I probably inhaled enough dead skin cells to be more than 142 calories.
Today we had our Knowledge Master thing. We sucked. Someone asked Ms. Martin "did we suck today?" and her response was "yes." Then I got a ride from Ronjon, and this super silly thing happened. We were waiting inside near the front office, and we saw his mom's Infiniti pull up outside. As we got in, Ronjon was like, wouldn't it be funny if this isn't my mom? So he gets in and turns down the radio. I get in the back and after about 5 seconds I look forward. I hadn't seen this driver dude before, so something like "hey Ronjon is that your dad?" was about to roll off my tongue until I realized that I know what his dad looks like. Before I could react to say something, Ronjon's like "Oh, wrong car! Oops!" and we both get out highly embarrassed. Just as Ronjon noticed, the guy said "wrong car." hahaha that was the funniest incident ever. I wonder whose dad that was.
Apparently someone cheated on the lab and copied it, and got a 70, which is a lot higher than what I got... I resent this very much...
I think I have a fever. This is going to create mass fun on the ride to Florida. Not really.
7:38PM
Whoever shipped me this dumb motherboard (which, by the way, is so broken that only a replacement will "fix" it) is going to be getting a beating. That $30 paper shredder with the $30 rebate that I got for no reason will be put to use, shredding this guy's face.
Ms. Dutter either hasn't said anything really funny recently or I'm just missing out on what she's saying.
Today I was so sleepy even during first period that I laid my head down on my papers and fell asleep... and I completely missed going to emag.

I got the "new" motherboard. I don't think it's new. It didn't come with the manual and stuff that the site said it would come with. Customer satisfaction? No. The motherboard sucks, too. I can't get the dumb thing to run at 133MHz FSB because it seems like it's not supported. So I'm stuck at 850MHz instead of the 1.24GHz I would otherwise be able to pull off. And 128MB of memory got eaten. I put in 2 sticks of 256MB RAM and only 384MB shows up... Moral: don't buy from computergeeks.com even though it's always been a good place to buy from.
Right now I'm in the process of setting up this computer to act as a new server.
I took a practice SAT II Chemistry test and I missed 13/85. Apparently an organic acid has a CHOH group instead of the COOH that I always thought it had. Weird. I hope that was a misprint...
That dumb homework problem in calculus was ridiculous. I plugged in the equation into Maple and told it to solve for one of the variables, and it returned a unsolvable error. I guess it was possible to solve by hand, but if Maple doesn't do it, I just assume that it won't work for me because Maple's solving skills are infinitely superior to mine (well, except that one problem).
I got a lot of sleep at school today. I think I got more today than any other day yet this year. It was very refreshing.
