I forgot to write somewhere that I maimed and just about killed a wasp by running into it. Yup. I was running along, a wasp flies at me, and my foot hits it and it falls to the ground, unable to get up. Sucker. That's what you get for being in my way.
I have completed my first Excel spreadsheet ever. I just hope it works... it's going to be used to keep score during WAC. If we have problems, then that would be really bad. I don't know if I should trust my first-time programming skills. It turns out that Yujing, Dragos, and I are working in the Tournament Center (Media Center) during WAC. I think we can manage. We can add pretty well. But, that also means that there will be three people handling scores streaming in from 72 teams in 9 divisions.
I had the biggest stomachache today. Either the Tylenol that Mary gave me didn't do anything, or took over 3 hours to start. 500mg tablet!
8:44PM
I finished my work today surprisingly early. Oh wait, I almost forgot about AP Busy Devil Work. Something like 40 pages left to go in that packet.
My AP US essay is looking like crap. It's so bad. I've been typing it with double vision because of the sleepiness.
My SAT tutor lady's dogs are so ownage. Today they decided to get a little more hyper than usual and both of them jumped on me and covered each side of my face with dog drool. And my arms, too. I want a dog. I'm semi-allergic to dogs though.
Mary, Anna, Jin, and Courtney came (35 minutes late!) today and we filmed a terrible imitation of the Boston Tea Party. The ship was my deck and we threw boxes over... lol then we took a box, tied phone wire to it (we had nothing better to use to keep it from floating away), and threw it into the lake and pretended that was the tea. We noticed too late that my neighbor was staring at us from his yard... he thinks we're crazy teenagers now (I'm not saying he's wrong) and probably that I'm a cross-dresser, because I was wearing some things that may be a little questionable on me. I think it would have been better if we had used real liquor (they got to see the large collection we have) instead of... empty cups.
I'm going to take advantage of the almost 6 hours I have before school starts, and I'm going to try to finish that packet now.

I got back from Davita's house a little while ago. The ADHD dog jumped on me and scratched my wrist. At least it didn't bite my crotch. Eva wiped dog slobber all over me. I smell like it now. She should have wiped it on herself... she'd smell better than way =P lol jk
Too bad we didn't get to see the second movie.
We went out and fishing lined this guy's house.... lol
AP Busy Work needs to DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Meanwhile, I got my hands on this program called Mathematica 4.1. It's kinda like Maple, except its different.
Now, I must make popcorn and wait for my whore Tricia to come. (Not really)

I rode the right bus home today. I got on and asked for like 2 minutes whether he goes to Old Timber Ridge, and he kept saying he doesn't go to Timber Ridge. His Viet accent is hilarious though.
The AP US test was surprisingly not that bad.
Ms. McWilliams said to Mary and me that she did well on the essay but that I "didn't do so well." When a teacher tells people that someone did not so well, that means VERY VERY SUCKY. So I probably got less than a failing grade. But quizzes don't count for anything, so it doesn't matter.
I'm wondering if I should go out with everyone tonight.
3:50PM
Why are there two votes for "I LOVE [Ms. Bryan]!"? WHO did that?!? AP Busy Work... I like that name. It's a more accurate description, anyway.
Ben decided to be stupid today and threw a water bottle with water in it at my face. I have a swollen face now. lol
I went to the Yale thing yesterday, which was kinda useless. Not like I'm going there. But I saw plenty of people who went to GHP.
I thought the AP Euro test is Friday so I crammed like ass for it the past few days. Turns out it's actually Tuesday. So now I wasted all that time instead of studying for AP US, which I'm having to do now.

This afternoon was absolutely not productive. I got the chem lab done with super amount of error, and even after throwing out the data for four of the trials. Then SEG which I barely made in time, and watched and listened as Ms. Snoddy exploded like a flashbang.
When I went to the buses, I heard Charles yelling that his bus left (his bus is down near the exit) so we got on what I thought was my bus. After half the ride, I found out that that isn't actually my bus. The routes changed and no announcement had been made. We got off at the last stop and walked blindly through some spider webs which somehow eventually led to my house. It only took like 10 minutes, too.
My house is out of caffeine. The only remaining supply is in some tea hidden away somewhere that I can't find, and also the slowly diminishing amount still going around in my body.
Charles opened the compartment for the speaker system next to my TV... stuck the screwdriver in there... and couldn't pull it off the magnet. lol
10:15PM
"These are Sun Microsystems SunFire 6800 racks. Each unit has 196 GB Memory and will cost about 1 Million US Dollars..." - DEADLY! This is describing part of the nVidia headquarters. Notice that unit after the 196. That's right. Not MB, but GB. And that's memory as in RAM, not hard drive space...
When I got home today Eva called me to talk about GHP. Then I ate and called her back. Then it gets interesting. 5 minutes after I hang up, I'm doing my devilish Bryan essay. Sometime very soon afterwards, I just spontaneously fell asleep. Apparently I was still editing the paper, because I was in the middle of a sentence and some spelling was still wrong. It was about 2 and a half hours before I woke up, at about 9:30. This ranks up there along with my falling asleep in AP US one day, while I was writing...
My mom charged downstairs and was like, did you hear people moving around up there? No, I didn't. She's like, they did that last night too and it scared the crap out of me. She continued saying "there's a bunch of teenagers being loud and they were near our fish pond saying fuck you!" I thought... nope, I had no idea. I don't know why I didn't hear, because the backyard is right behind this window in this room.

Hell yeah!
That conic section, no one knows an easy way to do it. Ms McWilliams apparently did problems with identifying degenerate and nondegenerate (which is basically the problem) conic sections from their equations, but she forgot how. Her books so far have been pretty useless. Dragos doesn't seem to know. My grandpa is clueless. My mom doesn't even know the form of the equation for a conic. Maybe my dad will have some idea. And there's this rigged problem on the JV packet, it's the one with the logs that says to solve for y when there is no y in the equations given. Fanoe and I decided basically that it was asking for you to solve for 4 in terms of the variables. How odd does that sound... lol
Interesting... I was trying to type out an email address @bellsouth.net and by some brilliant stroke of skill it came out as @bellslut.net. It was a typo, my fingers just hit the wrong keys. Weird.

Results of making my grandpa do math: 2 minutes of telling me about why it's a hyperbola (wrong answer). He didn't seem to believe me when I said it's two straight lines.
11:55PM
I am not gay. I am not bi. I am not whatever else you can think of. I am straight, "straight as a rod" as someone once said. Thank you.
Today there was this math problem that I couldn't solve, and Dragos worked on it for what was probably the greater part of an hour, maybe actually more than an hour, and *GASP* he didn't solve it! I have reached the conclusion that occasionally it takes him more than 5 seconds to do a math problem. I'm gonna make my grandpa do it and see if he can.
I fell asleep for so freaking long earlier today. I don't even know how long it was.
I can't even find enough spare time to read the Bible. What a shame.

Last night while I was eating something I completely obliterated the inside of my lip with the pair of canine teeth on the left. I've never done that before and I don't know how I got dumb enough to be able to. It's actually quite difficult to do accidentally.
This weekend actually didn't have that much homework. But, I still need to do SEG for both US and Euro, and also the project for US.
I'm eating sunflower seeds and I just took off my socks... and threw one of them into the trash can.
Oh, last night's dream. That was interesting. The only part I can remember is when I was chasing this guy, then he turned around and sent a hypodermic needle flying at me, and it pricked me. I ran to a mirror where I watched myself wilt and die. Before I completely died though (about 10-15 minutes after I got owned), somehow I managed to push ctrl-alt-del and push the shutdown/restart/ok button. I don't remember what happened after that. I must have respawned somewhere.

This is so bad. I'm on http://www.mandelbrot.org/ after Mary and Dragos told me about it. I'm going to talk to Ms. McWilliams about participating in this. Before then, I'm going to try some of the problems. So here's what not to do (steps and meters represent the same thing here):

10 + 30 = x -30 does not result in a solution of 100.
10:48PM
So, just back from taking a very large piss.
Academic Bowl
@ Ezell-Harding was a very good tournament. It was run very well, and started on time. Only the second time it's happened
in my 3 years. It's such a shame though - 4th place. Got raped by Dorman in the semifinals, then raped again in the
consolation round by somebody.
On Friday night, a few of us tried to go to the pool. It was 9:40PM (CST) and the sign on the pool said it closes at 10, but the door was locked. So we climbed over, and 5 minutes later this bitchy (that's in the spellcheck... or did I add it...) lady threatened to call the police. Yeah she was a whore.
That night, I fell asleep around 12:30AM and at 3:30 I woke up. It felt like I only had one arm, so I checked to make sure (lol). Well, I could move my left arm, but my right arm was missing. I felt a rock-like item under the pillow, though. So I took my left arm to remove my dead right arm from under the pillow. I couldn't feel my right arm at all. It must have been dead for the entire 3 hours (I think I fell asleep in that position).
I stole a Bible from the hotel. A lot of people tell me that you can take them though, because they're there so the word of [fill in the blank - is it Christ, God, or the Bible-writers?] can be spread. I read to page 17 in 3 hours.........

We hate CiCi? I don't really get it.
11:12PM
I finished Ms. Bryan's packet!!! But now she's even more evil... great...

PiLlBuG 413: guess what
PiLlBuG 413: ms bryan said bout u

PiLlBuG 413: she said "he's not a real person"
PiLlBuG 413: "he's a little doll"
...
PiLlBuG 413: i SWEAR
PiLlBuG 413: she thinks ur ADORABLE
...
PiLlBuG 413: she told our whole class
Instead of studying the amendments for AP US like I should be doing, I think I'm going to play ping pong with my grandpa for a little while. Which reminds me, he didn't laugh at the Charles picture initially, but he did after he found it out it's Charles.
Rubber Policeman With Glass Stirring Rod... what will I do with you...
Remember the Pascal's wager? (scroll down on the Christian Science [link removed] page until you get to a table) That was a question today in academic bowl. Ronjon didn't get it!!
I'm SO sleepy.
8:58PM
The play ended at around 10:50 and we got home at 12:35 or so.
Yesterday, I went to CiCi's for 1 hour 30 minutes and helped her with chemistry. Then I got home and 20 minutes later Mary and Jin came, and I thought I had until 7 or so, when I had to go to the AP Euro play (Les Miserables). Actually, I was picked up at 5:20. So they had to stay here and wait for a ride while I ran out the door. Oops.
I'll never have to study by myself for chemistry again, or ever remember a due date for the class. People will just remind me. lol
Ms. Bryan is the devil and her work is the devil's child.

HELL YEAH last night I slept from 8:30 to 6:30. CiCi and Craig beat me though =( lol
Major defeat #1 (yes, I'm counting): Dragos kicked me off the High-Q team. Yeah he/I deserved it. I'm just too slow. I don't know how he beat me though. He's not that fast. But still... he got like 3 and I got like 2... that's a small sample size. Oh well. He's better.
I think I will do worse on this chem test than all the other ones so far.
Oh man, mass nausea. I just read a Christian thing about creationism (I was looking up the specific heat of copper) and it used the high specific heat of water + the strange fact that ice floats to prove that God made the world. I think it means we just got lucky.
Should I sleep now... or should I not... I think my yawn as I typed that is giving me an answer.

I have been thoroughly raped by the Invisible Man test. It was a deadly raper.
Today I have grand plans. I will sleep before 9. It won't happen though... lol but I'll come close hopefully.
First emag test was to build a circuit from a schematic diagram. Mine was this extremely obnoxious thing that powered a speaker at variable frequencies (with a knob) and was extremely obnoxious. It was a pass/fail thing, and luckily I passed on my first try.
Ms. Pepple surprised me today. When I asked her to look over my lab so I don't screw it up as badly as I did the Bunsen burner one (first one last year), she said "yeah, that one was a little needy." She actually remembers? Wow.
6:57PM
I just finished my dumb Invisible Man project at 12:30. It's a killer. And I'm still not done with the book. I've read through page 510 or so, and not reading the 70 or so probably most important pages of the book. It's just too much work.
I also have AP Euro, AP US, and probably some science homework that I've decided I'm going to do the period it's due. In emag tomorrow I have a test, which consists of building a deadly circuit off a schematic diagram... so if I can't get it to work I will have a 0 in the class since I have no other grades right now. Deadly.
On a brighter note, I now am the proud owner of a Rubber Policeman With Glass Stirring Rod. It's practically new and unused. For some reason my sister had it in her Legos.
Wtf... I didn't know idiots like this still existed: http://adlusa.com/
Time to do AP Euro, then sleep. I won't be asleep even by 3AM...
2:05AM
Saturday, September 13, 2003
I'm writing way too much today, but oh well.
So this random phone call just came and no one said anything for like 2 minutes. I thought it was a pair of obnoxious girls that I may or may not have known. Then apparently they realize that the phone is on the line, and said "hey, this is Eric, Austin's friend." Oooooookay... So I said hi. He's like, "Are you Austin's dad? ... Oh, do you know Austin's sister?... Nallie... oh. Where are you?... oh, wrong number." hahaha
7:31PM
Mary came this morning, and I was supposed to help her with chem. Well, I helped with the lab for about 15 minutes, then I kinda fell asleep. She kept typing it for 2 more hours, though. Just before she left, we played ping pong, and she's good at it.
Today at SAT II class I found a new talent. During the listening problems, the question is repeated once, and then there is a pause of about 30 seconds before the next question. So after #13, I put my head down and fell asleep. I had a dream (I think Ms. Martin was in it somewhere) and completely missed hearing #14. I woke up in time for #15. So in short, I fell asleep and had a dream in less than 90 seconds.
I wonder how the people at Emory are doing. Hopefully winning.
Oh ownage. I got a 25/20 on the research (Tuskegee) for lit. I don't know whether that is because she can't divide (that's 125% = too high) or if it's because she thinks the summary is worth that many extra points. It's a point towards my average, though.
3:08PM
lol guess what CiCi put on her Xanga while she was here?
| CiCi is the COOOOOOOlest
person EVER and I will totally kill everyone that gets in her way, particularly Mrs. Pepple, Ms. Bryan, Ms.
Demastrie (that BITCH) and all those jerks who piss her off. Coke sucks and pepsi rocks. I love CiCi's hair. I'm smarter than dragos. Ai HaB yOOr c00ki3!!!! CiCi>me>dragos>everyone!!! |
| posted 9/12/2003 at 6:06 PM by icydog |
I will not kill Ms. Pepple. I love Ms. Pepple. Although I would be glad to get rid of the other two. And if you come to be whining about a c00kie, I will have to kill yooh. And Coke is better than Pepsi anyday. I don't think her inequality works properly. By some transitive property, CiCi>Dragos, which equates to a value of "false."
I can't believe I got up this early... Mary asked me for chem help so I'm waiting for her right now.
I really need to lean some Photoshop... but dang, there's like at least a few thousand different buttons, which means that there's basically infinite number of ways the stuff can be combined. Too complex.
9:07AM
Ms Bryan said kowtow the other day. That word is disgustingly mutilated.
This AP US DBQ is really annoying.
Tomorrow is that Emory trip which I want(ed) to go on but can't because I can't miss too many days of SAT II review for Chinese. Oh well. Ezell-Harding is probably more important/fun anyways. Hopefully. And hopefully the teams tomorrow do well. Especially Dragos. Then again, I don't want him to do well enough to kick me off my spot. lol
12:46AM
Friday, September 12, 2003
CiCi was just over. I had to explain to her for two hours how to subtract a positive number from a negative number. Ok, not reeeeaaally... lol
I wish I could be NOT doing that stupid Bryan work. I hate it.
Where's Mary?
Oh, haha. CiCi or someone had a cellphone on and it was talking to CiCi's answering machine. So Jay was listening to it... I'm not sure if that was CiCi because I didn't listen (he didn't say it was her until later) but it sure sounded like her. That must suck.
9:05PM
AP US studying - so fun. Whites are evil, or so I hear.
I'm glad Ms. Bryan knows how to divide. She totally did not understand the concept of a 35/35 being the same as a 75/75 because she does it by percentage, and they are the same percentage (100%). Maybe I don't explain well enough, or she's just really stupid, but I think it's a combination of she's really stupid and didn't want to listen to me at all. She thought I didn't understand how the grading program works. Well eat the formulas, bitch. They're not that hard to derive. She asked Ms. Monger, whom she was more willing to listen to than me, and got it explained. This time, it's fortunate that she doesn't know how to divide. She suggested giving 20/20 and 30/20 instead of 35 and 75. 30/20 is a whole lot of pointage. She talked to Andrew Wein and I today and after we walked out we just laughed at each other.
aguynamedallon: jeez, he like goes home and plugs his head up to the coputer
aguynamedallon: and downloads information
Any guesses on who that was about? hahaha
aguynamedallon: "dragos reloaded"
If and when he gets that speed, that will be the end of me on academic bowl. I'm already ready to be raped in math club.
And in science club... lol
[01:24:55] HolyCao86: ok ur site died
[01:25:05] icydog1: im expecting a "nm" in about 3 seconds
[01:25:10] HolyCao86: ok nvm
lol I was only 2 seconds off

I have just shamed myself by asking for chemistry help. hhahahhaha I should be paying Dragos for it. lol I forgot what the thing on the faucet was called (aspirator).
I hate formal lab write-ups. I have to do a drawing too, I think.
The club fair was useless and 3 people signed up for math club, one of which is the VP. Whichever moron brought out the trophies is a moron because the three that were brought out were the three smallest out of 20 or so that were on the trophy table in Ms. McWilliams' room. The three biggest were about twice as tall as those three.
AP Euro trip was fun. I have no idea what happened in the play. I heard interesting things about it, though. I used that time to take a nice, long, 3 hour nap. No need for a 8-10PM nap today, which I always take.
Wow, I just noticed how early it is.
4:49PM
Ok so Eva and I had this misunderstanding over nothing, which was pretty dumb. She stopped asking 4 dat c00kie today and answered mai question. lol
The Invisible Man project is gay. I swear, I spend more time on AP Language than all of my other classes combined (unless falling-asleep time counts for AP Euro/US) and in that class I get lower grades than any other class.
12:18AM
Tuesday, September 9, 2003
I think Davita got better at driving. I don't feel scared anymore (when I'm in/near her car), at least. I don't think she reads this site. So shhhh.... lol
I forgot to write this earlier, but yesterday I ate like the biggest insult in a long, long time from someone who doesn't usually give me those. In combination with all the other great things that happened yesterday, it didn't make my day any better.
Ok wtf. I just looked at my grade on that Bryan paper. 75. 5/9 was a C to C+ I thought? 75? That's a C---! And my grade goes down after corrections? I thought I worked hard on those! This lady is intent on giving me a bad grade. So, so far I've had two grades from her that are plainly unjustifiably unfair. This is crap.
Ah ha. I found it. 40/40 on reverse outline. However, that's 1.7% of my grade and probably going to drop to less than 0.4% by the end of the semester. The 75/100 is 25% right now and very unlikely to go below 5%. So I'm still screwed either way.

Not acceptable, but good?

Then my dumbness on Ms. Pepple's test angered me. That I could make so many stupid mistakes in such a short period of time is incredible.

Friday, September 5, 2003
I did not enjoy Ms. Pepple's evil test. That was very evil. Yes, I am enjoying my superior choice of words (diction! muahaha) there.
That Chesapeake test was supremely easy. I knew all the answers that I had read, so I knew about 70% of them. I guessed 2/3 of the rest right, for a 90 total.
Time to start reading Invisible Man.
I am stuck in a deadly dilemma. The last chance for me to take a Chinese SAT II is November this year. Of course, I need to have some kind of practice first. So I will go take a class every Saturday for 6 Saturdays. One of those (10/4) is taken by WAC, So that leaves 5. Then there's 3 Saturday academic bowl tournaments this September. I can't just go the the class 2 times out of 6, because that'd be a waste. So I have to not go to some tournaments. But if I do that, Dragos is taking my place on the A team, probably permanently. That would be bad for me, because then I completely lose my A team spot. What will I do...
9:57PM
Thursday, September 4, 2003
I did not enjoy today's (first half of) chemistry test. It was SO long! Ms. Pepple evidently thought that people would finish with enough time left to do the other half. I heard that Dragos was the only other one who finished besides me, and it took even Mr. Science God until after the bell. And I rushed through everything except #1 and 2. And I didn't show work for a few, so that's a bunch of points, as usual.
Mary bet me a dinner that on the semester grade report, I will have no grade higher than Dragos's. I'm getting hungry already =) Although I'm going to have to work my tail off to beat him at anything.
I think that on Sunday, if the academic bowl site continues to suck balls, I may have to find myself some new historians. That site's such a shame. lol
11:13PM
I'm on page 580 of Chesapeake. Good thing I got asked to go listen to the abridged one on tape. (Very much) Thanks to you guys, I can sleep tonight. I was really going to go the entire night reading.
So I called Morgan's boyfriend, who she said had some computer problem. Well, it was a car wiring thing, and no, I have no idea what to do. He talked to a MIT graduate who couldn't do it for him. So how in the world could I do anything? lol
I'm working on a Dutterisms page. Once I collect some more data, I'll link to it and show the world how great she is.
Whenever I get off my ass and get my scanner to work, I will scan a picture of that hall pass Coach Hawkins wrote me. He gave it to me and said "Sorry, I think I spelled your name wrong," forgetting that my last name isn't Nguyen. He spelled it Ngyen, I think. He's a cool guy, though.
7:36PM
Wednesday, September 3, 2003
Chesapeake blows. It should be exterminated. 15-20 hours more to go, 2 nights to do it. 8 or 9 hours a night = no sleep, since my sleep is usually only 4 hours anyways.
What to do oh what to do. I have no idea. Everything is so disorganized, with me shoving everything back a week to read that damn book.
I think it's time to start dosing myself with excess amounts of caffeine. I've never forced myself to stay up more than an hour or two with caffeine, and only once or twice of that, but it's time to start. Definitely.
10:44PM
Tuesday, September 2, 2003
Yay. I'm glad Gene didn't tell me what he told me.
I'm also glad that it didn't take me three hours to find 3 primary sources for science/technology of the Renaissance for AP Euro.
I think its time for GRRRRRRRR!! #2 but I won't make it as big because I don't want to waste room on my page. Although it should be bigger.
From now on, anyone who can't spell my last name will not get any kind of help with any kind of homework of any kind. I don't have time for fools who are going to continuously get help from me but I probably can't even find them in a yearbook. Unless I get paid, and I'm not talking like one coke or two quarters.
11:47PM
Monday, September 1, 2003
Whoa weird... I just googled my way through some old pages of... someone's... and whoa it's weird. I didn't know they existed yet at least one had stuff about me on it (nothing bad). I'm sure I wasn't supposed to find it though lol
I wonder how frisbee was today. It'd be no wonder if it didn't happen at all.
10:09PM
GRRRRRR!!!
Happy Rice Man might turn into Angry Killer Rice Man. Not really.
So anyways, this weekend was not so great. Actually it completely sucked.
I forgot to study SAT words before class, and failed. And I have to read Chesapeake, which is 1000 pages, and I didn't think it was that long. And I have to read Invisible Man as well. That leaves 1400 more pages for me to do.
And my mom just came downstairs and yelled at me. Duh I'm not supposed to be up this late.
The flow of spam is so steady. I could probably model the amount of time elapsed since the last email-check and the amount of new emails I have. It'd be something like t(m) = m/500, where t is hours since last check and m is number of new mails. Hopefully at least one person gets the idea.
