Chinglish
Grammar rules:
I wrote these when I was bored during a summer in China. Enjoy =) And by the way, my mom couldn't figure out the error in half of the example sentences within 5 minutes (even with the rules right above them).
The masculine pronoun is usually (but never always) used:Linda is fat. He ate too much last night. Although she is on a diet, he is still fat. His doctor tells him to eat less, but he doesn't like to listen to her doctor.
Randomly add or remove plurals on nouns, pronouns, and
verbs.
my cats -> my cat
I have five sister. I runs today. He talk now. The pack of dog lives on that mountains.
I went to skating today. I was wash dishes when the dishwasher broken. I killing the cow now.
Past tense after "to" in infinitive.
I was going to killed a cow yesterday. The cat had to ran away from the dog. I smacked the cat, who was going
to bit me.
I killed cow. A cat ate mouse. Dog jumps over tree. I went to park. I need pen.
Missing verbs,
especially forms of "be."
They can always around you. I going to die today. He stupid.
I am kill the cow. You is act like a stupid butt. Notepad is comes with Windows. (doesn't that one sound like me?)
Massive verb tense confusion.
I will bought the house tomorrow. I go to the store yesterday.
Pronunciation rules:
The pronunciation of "th" is sometimes "z" or "ts."the cat -> zuh cat; their dog -> tsiar dog
The letter "i" pronounced "ee" or sometimes even
funnier.
kit -> keet; fit -> feet; mill -> meel; in -> yeen; it -> yeet (the "y" sound is strong in "in" and weak in "it")
There are so many bad ways they do this, I won't even attempt to put any examples.
